Trouble in Thailand

Wow... this report really surprised me and gave me a bit of a scare...

"On 19 September, late night media reporting advised of coup underway in Bangkok, Thailand. While the situation is likely to stabilise in the next 24 hours and there have been no reports of violence, there exists a credible risk of protests and clashes between pro and anti-Thaksin forces and there is the possibility of demonstrations turning violent. According to media reports, the military leaders have declared Marshall Law, set up a ruling Council and have suspended Thailand's constitution."

Hopefully they'll get it sorted out soon... they reckon that there is no risk for Australians at the moment, but everyone is apparently advised to leave the country. The UN has come out against the military coup, as have most leaders around the world... amazing in a democracy how things can turn to shit.....
